If you encounter software problems or cannot playback the software properly, please check the following.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ Cannot Install or Update the Software
- When installing/updating the software, close all Vocoflex and DAW instances.
¶ Cannot Activate
- You must verify your identity before using Vocoflex. After verifying your identity, you will be able to use the activation code to register as a user.
- Please deactivate Vocoflex on your old PC before installing it on a new PC. If you cannot deactivate Vocoflex due to PC failure or any other reason and you have used up your activation count, please contact the support center of the distributor from which you purchased Vocoflex.
¶ Repeatedly asks for activation code or no sound on macOS
- There may have been a problem with user permissions during installation.
In this case, opening a terminal and executing the following two commands will likely fix the issue.
(If prompted for a password during execution, enter your PC's login password.)
sudo mkdir -p "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Dreamtonics/Vocoflex"
sudo chown -R $(whoami) "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Dreamtonics/Vocoflex" - If the above commands do not solve the problem, manually create the folder in the following location (if it already exists, delete and recreate it).
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Dreamtonics/Vocoflex
Show hidden folders in Finder settings (Command+Shift+.).
¶ I Want to Change the Language of the Workspace
- You can change the language in the settings screen. -> "Seetings”
- If only English is displayed as the language available, please try the following "To reinstall".
¶ No Sound or Mumbling
- If your PC environment is older than the Vocoflex system requirements, you may not hear sound.
- This may be improved or solved by turning on “Multi-threaded processing”. -> Please see the “Settings”
If you want to know whether your CPU can run Vocoflex in real-time or not, please refer to https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html, a single thread rating of 1700 or more is needed.
¶ Vocoflex Does Not Appear in the List of Plugins for My DAW
- Please try the following "To reinstall".
- Make sure you have the latest version of Vocoflex installed. You can download the latest installer from the URL provided in the email you received when you purchased Vocoflex.
¶ To Reinstall
- Uninstall Vocoflex completely, including all related files, etc., using the following method -> “Installation and Activation”
